Fibrus is Northern Ireland's leading alternative network full-fibre (FTTP) broadband provider, trading as Hyperfast NI in Northern Ireland and Hyperfast GB in Cumbria, and one of the UK's most successful rural altnets with over 450,000 premises passed (approximately 332,700 in NI) and a take-up rate above 30%. Registered as Fibrus Networks Ltd (Companies House NI612703, incorporated 14 May 2012) at 108-113 Dargan Crescent, Belfast BT3 9JP and led by CEO Dominic Kearns and directors including Colin Hutchinson and Jennifer Catherine Lennon, Fibrus is backed by Infracapital (primary shareholder) alongside Equitix with total investment of approximately £893m (£320m committed debt, £200m equity, £373m government funding). Completed the £200m Project Stratum contract in NI (81,000+ premises) on time and budget by June 2025, secured a further £150m Project Gigabit Cumbria contract (53,500+ rural premises by end of programme) with a £50m Cumbrian extension in late 2025, and won the Project Gigabit NI contract (December 2025) for 9,000 further rural NI premises.
