Independent profile snapshot

This extended snapshot summarises how the provider presents itself in the UK market. It supplements the dataset-led summary above.

Gigaclear is the UK's leading rural full-fibre (FTTP) broadband altnet, delivering symmetric gigabit-speed XGS-PON connectivity to more than 600,000 rural premises ready for service (approximately 170,000 connected customers, 600+ employees) across 26 counties in the South West, East of England, Midlands and South East of England. Registered as Gigaclear Limited (Companies House 07476617, incorporated 22 December 2010) at Building One, Wyndyke Furlong, Abingdon, Oxfordshire OX14 1UQ and led by CEO Nathan Rundle and fellow directors Catherine Colloms, Hugo Martin Eales, Stephanie Way Liston and Andrew Douglas Littlejohns. In April 2026 Gigaclear underwent a consensual debt-for-equity recapitalisation: a consortium of 11 lenders including the National Wealth Fund (largest shareholder, following conversion of its £240m guarantee into senior debt), NatWest, Lloyds, ABN AMRO and others took control from former shareholders Infracapital, Equitix and Railpen, with lenders accepting a circa 40% haircut on Gigaclear's near-£1bn debt facility to establish a fully funded, debt-light platform for continued growth (EBITDA positive; £80m new money). ISPA member, Communications Ombudsman ADR, Project Gigabit partner, GBVS supplier. Trustpilot 4.8 from 38,500+ reviews.
